The 11th International Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics (SOPO 2018)

will be held from August 18 to 20, 2018 in Kunming, China . SOPO 2018 is sponsored by Wuhan University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Southwest  University and IPOC State Key Lab.  

SOPO is an annual conference in China since 2009. It was held in Wuhan, Chengdu, Shanghai, Suzhou, Xi’an, Beijing and Guilin from 2009 to 2017. Each year there are 100 - 200 attendees from Asia, Europe, America , etc., and there have been quite a lot of well known experts giving plenary speeches. In 2018, SOPO will be held from August 18 to 20 in Kunming, China . It dedicates to facilitating the global development of Photonics and Optoelectronics and exploring ways in which the latest research results can be shared.

Kunming, Yunnan’s capital, resides at an elevation of 1890m and boasts a milder climate than most other Chinese cities. Celebrated as the "Spring City," Kunming has neither severe winters nor extremely hot summers and can be visited at any time of the year.

  将于2018年8月18-20日在昆明举行。本届大会将继续遵循学术性、国际性的原则，特邀国内外光学与光电子领域内的学者专家前来参会，并做出精彩的报告。本次大会旨在为行业内专家和学者分享技术进步和业务经验，聚焦光学和光电子学的前沿研究，提供一个交流的平台。
  光学与光电子国际学术会议是由武汉大学、北京邮电大学、信息光子学与光通信国家重点实验室、金沙游戏官网等高校及科研单位共同协办，在领域内享受盛名的国际学术研讨会之一。多年来，已在武汉、成都、苏州、上海、北京、三亚、西安、桂林等城市成功举办十届。第十一届光学与光电子国际学术会议将于2018年8月18-20日在世界著名的旅游城市昆明举行，诚邀各位专家和代表的参加。

  昆明，享“春城”之美誉，云南省省会，中国面向东南亚、南亚开放的门户城市，国家历史文化名城，我国重要的旅游、商贸城市，西部地区重要的中心城市之一。昆明地处云贵高原中部，北与凉山彝族自治州相连，西南与玉溪市、东南与红河哈尼族彝族自治州毗邻，西与楚雄彝族自治州接壤，东与曲靖市交界，是滇中城市群的核心圈、亚洲5小时航空圈的中心，国家一级物流园区布局城市之一。昆明市为山原地貌。地势大致北高南低，多溶洞和溶岩地貌，溶岩盆地有石林坝子。属北亚热带低纬高原山地季风气候。年平均气温16.5℃，年均降雨量1450毫米，无霜期278天，气候宜人。
